MY All time FABULOUS Band Trip ^-^

Good ol' monday has rolled around once again..

Well, got back from the long awaited smokey mountain trip yesterday morning. Man oh man was it a fun trip.

Wednesday - Got on the bus about a half hour early and just sat there, already complaining about how the seats felt. We watched Happy Gilmore on the way down, and I was trying to fall asleep but it wasn't workin' out so great. So I ended up staying up until about 3am talking to Alex about just random stuff, and annoying the woman infront of us. Our bus driver had the heat turned up so high we were like scorching and frying to death. But once he stopped in Kentuky we got a new driver and he turned on the air. Then Alex and I finally fell asleep.

Thursday- After about 20mins of falling asleep the sun was beginning to rise, as well as the inhabitors or our most uncomfortable charter, off brand, Wilco bus. Tennessee was so pretty, it was very, very green compared to boring old Michigan. We drove to 'Shoneys' and had breakfast. Haha well Olivia and I didn't know we were suppost to pay so we were running around trying to get back onto the bus so we could pay. But McBride just ended up paying for us, and we payed his back. After breakfast, uhhh... we went to downtown Gatlinburg and went shopping for 5 hours. It was so much fun, Olivia, Vincent, Peter, Adam, me, and a few other people went go carting, and the guy there was so hot. I beat Olivia 2/3 times, but the last time my go cart sucked so it wasn't really fair. Then we went back to the hotel, and for the size of our hotel, our pool was sooooo small. We all took up the top (4th) and uh 3rd floor, Olivia and I were on the top ^-^. It soo sucked though, I had taken the playstation with me and our VCR wouldn't let us play it, and only some people had good VCR's so we were running around trying to find one that would work. We eventually had to make a deal with Brad and Kyle and all them so we could get it. (10 min break......) After we got to lay around for about an hour we had to get all dressed up so we could go to the 'Dixie Stampede' for dinner, and it was really retarded cause we sat around for an hour, then it was funny cause we had to eat with our hands. We got like these whole chickens then ham, biscuts, soup, apple pie and our waiter got pissed cause no one tipped him lol. Our side lost though *sigh* but thats because the woman that was running for us tripped and fell right in the middle, I felt bad afterward for laughing at her but it was really funny.

Friday- Got up early *sigh* and went to the PANCAKE HOUSE! Mmmmm, but I was boring and just got plain cause I didn't want to get sick. Then we got to walk around downtown for 3 or 4 hours (like the more modern downtown). It was awsome, I was really surprised they trusted us so much to walk around on our own like that. Then after spending like all of my $150 we went back to the hotel for about an hour and got dressed into our pilgram band uniforms, and headed out to where we were playing at the festival. We played alright when we got there, I bet we could have done alot better though if we had practiced more. After playing, we took like a billion pictures, then ran back to the buses to get out of there as fast as we could. Then we went and changed again, and drove up the smokey mountains, with our tour guide. It was really funny cause poeple were falling asleep. Then we did a half a mile hike up the mountain and got to look down. They were so beautiful, but after like 10 mins we had to go back down. We saw a bear on the way back!! Once we got back we got to hang out for a little while, then we had to get dressed up AGAIN to go to the 'Black Bear Jambarie (sp?)'. It was hilarious, Olivia and I sat with Nita, Alex and Ryan and they had a band play for us in the beginning and they were wearing colored shirts and looked freakishly like the Wiggles on Disney, except a uh folk wiggles lol. Haha and there was one that reminded me so much of Nick May (Haha sorry Nick), he was playing the drums but he had this death glare and he would play the drums then glare around in the audience it was so hilarious. Then they were all checking out Alex and McBride was getting so pissed, and would pick up his fork and stab it at the guys when their backs were turned (I forgot to remind him we were on video.. haha), but when he got his fork taken away he used his straw. After that we went back to the hotel and Olivia and I were spying on people, and ended up spying on Alex and Ryan when there were arguing, everytime we would get close to hearing somthing we would snort out laughing and have to run back into our room. Then we got Mrs. Greg to get us ice cream so it was awsome.

Saturday- Got up and had breakfast at the hotel, then everyone packed and got onto the bus. After waiting for about 20mins we were all called OFF of the buses and we found out we got FIRST PLACE! That's right! First in our division in the NATION! The whole UNITED STATED We are the best! Then we started off the Dollywood, but got stopped by a parade. This is what I kept screaming at the bus driver

It was funny, we eventually made it to Dollywood, and started there for 7......long......hours..... it started to rain soon after we got there, so Olivia and I were running to and from buildings, I almost slipped and fell like 6 times cause of my stupid sandals. After wasting my life there, we went to the NASCAR SPEEDPARK!! We only got to drive the go carts once, cause it started to rain. But when I was going Kevin did beat me *sigh*, and Steven and Dan were trying to pass me but I wouldn't let them until the stupid little kid infront of me jammed on his breaks. But we got to go inside and play video games; they had this NASCAR simulation game, where you got into the cars and they moved around like you were actually driving. The 1st time I kicked ass, once I figured out how to turn on the car and to shift it into gear. Then Olivia drove, and ended up driving backwards on the track. Then I drove a second time and my car was being retarded so I was just driving after McBride and crashing into him. Then we got back onto the bus and watched 'Pay it Forward' but I fell asleep way before the movie was over.

Sunday- We stopped in Kentucky again, but when we stopped the other bus was no where to be seen, along with the new bus drivers. So we had to sit and wait after we all got up and used the bathroom. Then the second bus finally showed and the new bus drivers came to, and then the people on bus 2 got off to use the bathroom and their new bus driver drove off with the bus to go get gas, and they all had to sit outside in the cold infront of the gas station haha! We were all laughing at them from our nice warm bus. Then we left again, and I fell back asleep, but kept waking up every half hour. We ended up late but once I got home I slept until 5, then went back to bed at 8.

So yeah, our trip was really, really fun. I couldn't belive how much freedom we had and that we actually got FIRST PLACE!! But now I'm so dead, I slept all day yesterday but I still want more sleep!
