Ahh, home at last! Okay... so I got home like 6 hours ago... I'm still glad to be home!
Yesterday we left home at 1:30-ish. I was talking to Olivia like for an hour before we left, she wanted to know if I could go to the mall (the day before would have worked...). Anyway, when we got on the road, I called shotgun and mom was driving, so Eric got back (Muaha!). We listened to Keith Urban all the way there. The funny thing about that is Eric despises country music, and country is one of my favorites.
When we got to the hotel, my Uncle Steve, Aunt Carol, Jessica and Scott, Grandma and Grandpa pulled in right after us. What sucked though, was they only had one room ready, apparently the people that stayed there before us asked for a late checkout - which left our huge family sitting in one small little room, and the hall way. Everyone else showed up pretty soon after us; we were probably waiting for 45 minutes before all of our room's were ready. The boy's went to my room to go play the game cube that my brother took, then I just wondered around with Bethany (since it was just us two girls).
During that time we did nothing...
After like 5 hours, me and Bethany finally decided we were GOING to open presents. So we went into the sweet, where everyone was sitting, and demanded we get our presents before the boy's get theirs. So we opened all of our present's. I got this huge scrap booking set from my Aunt Carol and Uncle Steve. It's so awsome, I could tell my Aunt Carol spent a lot of money on it, Bethany got the same thing too. Then I got Raising Helen, a really cute bracelet, gift cards, a necklace, a little stuffed pony (Thanks grandma!), and I'm sure I missed a few thing's, but that was about it.
Afterward, we ordered pizza, then me and Bethany went boy scouting. Well I gotta be honest, this year was a let down... We only found one actual decent looking kid, so we just ended up watching TV for majority of the evening. When it came to sleeping arangements... Me and Bethany toatlly got screwed. We slept in the sweet, on the floor. Jessica was in there too, meaning it was hard to sleep at times. Jessica has this disease that completley paralysis (sp?) her. She cant speak, move, or do anything on her own. So all night she was making these grunting, and spitty and other ODD noises that kept us from sleeping. We were up till 3ish cause we couldn't sleep, then woke back up at 4:30. It was a rough night...
This morning, our youngest cousin Garrett was out swimming with my Uncle Joel. He is the cutest, but loudest little kid when he gets going. With the door closed, a little fan thing on, and Jessica's noises, we could hear him down in the pool perfectly. We opened the door, and he was just swimming happily around, it was so cute. Nothing happened this morning, so we went to breakfast, talked for a few more hours, then left.
I was surprised, this year's family get together, wasn't a complete let down. Me and Bethany had a lot of fun (even though she's still a total ditz). But next year, me and Bethany are toatlly getting our own room!
